VOICES OF VICTORY CHOIR Mrs. Annette Kirby, President
We the Voices of Victory Choir of Holy Trinity Baptist Church was inspired by God in the Summer of 2010. We are victorious because we have planted a seed, stepped out on faith and God have blessed us and gave us the increase. Under the leadership of Mrs. Annette Kirby members were asked to be part of a new choir. Experienced and Non-experienced singers were in agreement to try. “For we know all things work together for the good, to those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Rehearsals are required to attend every Tuesday for on and a half hour. New songs are presented to the choir by Mr. Vince Carter, Mr. Anthony Ferguson and myself. “But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6). So, each week there is always something new to learn, scriptures to be read, and always something that need to be corrected.
During our debut we were set apart for God’s service, blessed with robes which were free, and blessed with a musician. When asked, we went to fellowship with several churches and will continue to do so. We are learning to step out of our comfort zone and be willing vessels. The Voices of Victory Choir currently have fourteen members; and are still seeking new members who will be faithful, and truly want to give God their best. Prayer is essential in everything that we do, so before we start rehearsals or whenever we have to sing we begin with prayer.
I thank God for the Voices of Victory Choir, we still have a lot of work ahead of us. We are not where we need to be, but thank God we are not what we used to be.
